Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences, Guwahati, Assam, India is established in 2009.  The Mission of the University shall be to create, uphold and develop an intellectual, philosophical, academic and physical environment which shall be conducive to free flow of ideas and exchange of information amongst various Faculties of the University.

ABOUT GNM:-

The course is designed to prepare the student for a career in nursing. GNM or General Nursing and Midwifery is a three-year undergraduate course that trains an individual in taking care of patients, families and communities for their health promotion and also deals with the restoration of ill health.

SSUHS GNM NURSING NOTICE :- 

ADMISSION INTO GNM COURSE IN BOTH GOVT. AND PRIVATE INSTITUTES UNDER THE DIRECTORATE OF HEALTH SERVICES, ASSAM FOR THE SESSION-2024-2025. 

Applications are invited from the candidates for GNM Entrance Examination (GNMEE) for selection of candidates for admission into GNM Course under Directorate of Health Services, Assam in both Govt. and Private Institutes for the session 2024-25. Online Application Form shall be available at Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences website: www.ssuhs.in from 10-05-2024 to 10-06-2024. The Online Application Form must be filled up after carefully going through the instructions given along with the form in the website. The Application Form will no longer be available after 10-06-2024. So, interested candidates are advised to submit the online form within this stipulated period only.

The Entrance Test is going to be held on 14-07-2024 (Sunday) at Guwahati, Dibrugarh, Silchar, Jorhat, Barpeta, Tezpur, Diphu, Lakhimpur and Kokrajhar.

For SC/ ST/ EWS/OBC/MOBC :- 1200

IMPORTANT*** 

1. The Entrance Examination shall be held on 14-07-2024 (Sunday) at Guwahati, Dibrugarh, Silchar, Jorhat, Barpeta, Tezpur, Diphu, Lakhimpur & Kokrajhar for Selection of Candidates for Admission into GNM Course in both Govt. and Private GNM Training Schools under the Directorate of Health Services, Assam which will be conducted by Srimanta Sankaradevai University of Health Sciences.

2. There will be 1 (one) paper consisting of (a) English (b) Mathematics (c) General Science. 

3. The questions of these subjects shall be of 10th standard.

4. The Examination shall be for 100 marks. (100 Questions x 1 Mark each). 

5. English-50 marks, Mathematics-25 marks and General Science 25 marks.

6. There shall be no negative marking for wrong answers. Unanswered questions shall be awarded zero marks.

7. The questions will be in both English & Assamese language. However, the candidates will be required to fill in the OMR Sheet of the Entrance Examination in English only.

 8. Time of Examination: 10 AM to 1 PM (Three hours) (14-07-2024) (Sunday).

9. The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31 December, 2024.

10. The maximum age for admission shall be 35 years.

11. The minimum educational qualification for selection of the GNM candidates is

a. HSSLC (10+2) or its equivalent passed preferably Science (PCB) & English with aggregate of 40% marks.

b. 10+2 in Arts (Mathematics, Biotechnology, Economic, Political Science, History, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy, Home Science, Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy) and English Core/English Elective or Health Care Science Vocational stream ONLY, passing out from recognized Board under AISSCE/CBSCE/ICSCE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent Board with 40% marks.

c. 10+2 vocational ANM under CBSE Board or other equivalent Board from the school and recognized by Indian Nursing Council with 40% marks.

d. Registered as ANM with State Nursing Registration Council.

12. The minimum qualifying criteria/ cut off score in the Entrance Examination of GNM Course will be as follows:

i. General (UR/EWS)---- 50th Percentile

ii. SC/ST/OBC (NCL)---- -45th Percentile

iii. Divyang. ---- 40th Percentile

13. They are to download the Admit Card from the University website: www.ssuhs.in from 01-07-2024 onwards by entering their Appliction Form Number and Password
