Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for Polytechnic Lateral Entry Admission 2025, you must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: Student should have minimum H.S.L.C. Pass + 2-year ITI shall be eligible for admission to Second Year Diploma Course(s) in any branch of Engineering & Technology. Assam as per All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) Approval process handbook-2024-25 as per [Annexure-II] Student must pass I.T.I. from Assam.
• Age Limit: Minimum age 17 years on 31 December of the Admission Year. Maximum age 25 years on 31 December of Admission Year. Additional 3 years for SC/ST candidate as per existing norms [Annexure-1] [may be changed subject to approval of Government) Please Note: -31 December of the Admission year e.g. for the admission year 2025. Age limit must be calculated on 31 December-2025.

Admission process in the 2nd semester Bridge Course.

1. The Directorate of Employment & Craftsmen Training, Assam will supply a provisional selected list.2. The Directorate of Technical Education, Assam will conduct counselling to. provisionally allot seats.3. Candidature of a candidate may be cancelled any stage during the admission process as well as during the study period, if a candidate produces false documents i.e. Caste Certificate, Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) etc.4. There is no Institution/College transfer for the Lateral Entry students
